MAGS, a ladies’ fashion clothing line, was founded in October 26, 2004 in one of the prime malls, The Limketkai Center, Cagayan de Oro City, Philippines. Prior to its discovery, the owner was fond of selling clothes, footwear, accessories and home decorations in her first store where she sells different brands in a commercial establishment at De Leon Building for 2 years and closed it down when she opened in the mall. It derived its brand name from the owner herself, popularly known to many as Mags Cue but Magdalena Lopez Calpito before she got married and became Magdalena “Mags” Cue. From her hobby to passion for fashion, MAGS clothing brand was born. It quickly became known for its unique and fashionable sense of style. The national expansion takes off with opening new Mags branches in different bustling cities of Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao just after a year it was launched. The classy and modern look of all the stores of Mags were designed by the famed Architect Edwin Uy which made it more pleasant looking for our middle to upper class clientele. It was then became one of the fast growing female apparel brands in the country. Our official endorsers were top female celebrities in the country from Rica Peralejo, Cristine Reyes, Angel Aquino, Sofia Andres, Alice Dixson up to its present endorser from The Voice Teens Finalist, Isabela “Lala” Vinzon. It has also been the favorite brand of fashion stylists, movie actresses, TV personalities and beauty queens. Stylist real people and “Fashionistas” at all ages have been MAGS regular clients. The brand has been more visible in social scenes for it became the official casual wear provider of a National Beauty Pageant, The Mutya ng Pilipinas for a decade now and provided ladies apparel even in the International Beauty Pageants like Miss Asia Pacific International and Miss Intercontinental. Mags continously provides fashionable wear also to the prestigious local pageants nationwide like Miss Teen Philippines Northern Mindanao, Mutya ng Pilipinas Regional Pageants nationwide, Miss Cagayan de Oro, Mutya ng Batangas, Mutya ng Kapampangan, Miss Quezon Province to name a few. MAGS tagline “Taking Fashion to the Next Level” made a great impression to many fashion clientele. Through the years, MAGS successfully gained significant share and patronage in the market because of its uniqueness in designs, good product quality and a wide range of selections made MAGS became fashion enthusiasts’ first choice.
